The Endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a network of molecules, neutral receptors, and enzymes found throughout the body. The ECS helps regulate a number of important physiological processes, including the following:
METABOLISM
PAIN
MEMORY
MOON
INFLAMMATION
The two main types of cannabinoid receptors, CB1 and CB2, can be found in almost every tissue of the body in different concentrations.

How Motive CBD is Made

Grown in Central Ohio
CBD comes from the a specific variety of high CBD. We own and operate a hemp farm located in Centerburg, Ohio where all the hemp for Motive CBD products is grown. We work closely with the Ohio Department of Agriculture to ensure we follow all the proper protocols and safety measures for the highest quality hemp.

Harvested
Once our hemp plants are fully grown and third party tested for quality measures and proper amounts of CBD, it is harvested and dried in accordance to Ohio Department of Agriculture standards and once again third party tested prior to extraction.

Plant Material Extracted
The CBD, which is the key ingredient in Motive CBD products is then extracted from our harvested plant material. This results in either full spectrum CBD or CBD isolate that we use in Motive products.

Formulated and Processed
Now that our CBD is extracted and distilled, it is homogenized (blended) into our specific product formulations. By the time the finished product is approved through our quality control process, the product has been tested a minimum of three times throughout the process by an independent third party lab.

Delivered to Your Doorstep
Our final products are then shipped to our fulfillment center, our retail locations, and our wholesale partners prior to making their way to you!

Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of several natural, non-intoxicating chemical compounds called cannabinoids found throughout nature, and even within our own bodies! Sourced from Hemp, CBD is a safe, drug-free alternative for finding relief.
-
The human body has a system of receptors specifically designed to interact with cannabinoids! There are two main types of receptors in the Endo-Cannabinoid system (ECS) called CB1 and CB2. These receptors can be found in almost every tissue of the body. CBD binds to those receptors to help regulate a number of important processes, including:
Pain, Inflammation, Memory, Mood, Appetite, Stress Response, Muscle Response, Energy, and much more!
Researchers continue to learn more about how introducing cannabinoids - including CBD - can have a positive effect on the mind and the body.
-
First, it is important to know that CBD is actually a chemical found within the hemp plant. Comparing CBD to hemp would be like comparing milk to dairy. The two compounds come from the same plant family, but each come from different species within it.
The main difference between CBD and hemp is the cannabinoid content. Both products come from the same plant, but hemp plants contain a significant amount of CBD, while hemp seeds do not.
Hemp oil is sourced from the hemp's seeds and contains virtually no CBD. It's rich in fatty acids making it ideal for nutritional and anti-inflammatory benefits. It is most commonly found in supplements and skincare products.
CBD oil is extracted from the flowering tops of a mature hemp plant and contains cannabinoids. When ingested, users can feel the effects of it. Although CBD has no psychoactive effects, it is known for its therapeutic benefits such as anxiety relief, pain management, and its anti-inflammatory properties.
-
Not even a little bit! The combinations of cannabinoids found in the Hemp plant are non-intoxicating.
-
That depends on the product. Most of our products are CBD Isolate. This means it is pure CBD. CBD isolate typically comes from hemp plants and contains no additional plant compounds. Hemp-based CBD isolates contain little to no THC.
On the other hand, our full spectrum CBD products contain just under 0.3% THC. Full spectrum CBD contains all the plant's compounds. You can view our third-party lab test results here.
-
This will depend on the testing standards of the lab administering your drug test. Most lab tests only search for THC, which is the main psychoactive component of the cannabis plant. Initial “point of care” drug tests can also confuse CBD for THC, resulting in a ‘false positive'. If this happens to you, insist on more accurate confirmation testing. You can always contact a lab directly to verify exactly what will be tested.
Those who have an upcoming drug test may want to avoid full spectrum products and switch to CBD isolate temporarily.
